Pressure Washing in Montague, Bowie, Wichita Falls & North Texas

"Pressure washing" covers several distinct jobs that each need a different method. Concrete and masonry take high pressure. Siding and roofs need low-pressure soft washing — direct pressure forces water behind panels and strips protective coatings. Wood decks, fences, and docks need a two-step chemical process. We do all of them, with the method that fits the surface.

High Pressure vs. Soft Washing

The most common damage in exterior cleaning isn't from the dirt — it's from the wrong method applied to the wrong surface. High-pressure cleaning is the right tool for concrete, masonry, and shop floors. On hard, dense surfaces, 2,000+ PSI breaks up embedded staining, clay, and oil in ways that chemistry alone can't match.

Apply that same pressure to vinyl siding and you force water behind the panels into the wall cavity — creating moisture damage that doesn't appear for months. On asphalt shingles, direct pressure strips granules and can void manufacturer warranties. On wood decks and fences, it raises the grain and opens the surface to faster weathering.

Soft washing — low pressure with surfactant chemistry — is how siding and roofs should be cleaned. The surfactant breaks down algae and mildew; the rinse is gentle. Wood gets a two-step process: a cleaner to lift grey oxidation, a brightener to neutralize, then a low-pressure rinse. We assess the surface before setting up equipment. That's what doing this correctly requires.

How We Decide

The Surface Dictates the Method

For most North Texas properties, that means different approaches on the same job — a concrete driveway at high pressure, siding at low pressure, a wood deck using the two-step chemical process. We don't run one setup and apply it to everything.

We also quote each surface honestly. If something can't be cleaned without real risk — very old siding that's already pulling away from the wall, for example — we'll say so before starting rather than spray it and hope. That's a short conversation that's better than a damage claim.

Common Questions

Pressure Washing — Questions & Answers

What's the difference between pressure washing and soft washing?
Pressure washing uses high-pressure water — typically 2,000–3,500 PSI — to physically break up and blast debris from hard surfaces. It works well on concrete, masonry, and brick. Soft washing uses much lower pressure, around 50–100 PSI at the nozzle, combined with surfactant chemistry that breaks down organic growth — algae, mildew, mold — so it can be rinsed away without force. Most surfaces people assume need pressure washing — siding, roofs, painted wood — are actually better served by soft washing. High pressure on those surfaces causes damage.
Will pressure washing damage my siding, roof, or wood deck?
Yes, if the wrong method is applied. Direct high pressure on vinyl or wood siding forces water behind panels into the wall cavity, where it can cause mold or rot that isn't visible for months. On asphalt shingle roofs, it strips granules and can void manufacturer warranties. On wood decks and fences, high pressure raises the grain and can split softer wood. We don't pressure wash these surfaces. Siding and roofs get soft washing. Wood gets the two-step chemical process at low pressure. The method has to match the surface.
