Here's how it actually works: we pump 220°F water and cleaning solution through your carpet under pressure, then vacuum it back out in the same pass. Heat, chemistry, and suction together pull soil out from the base of the fiber — not just the surface layer. Portable rental machines do the same thing at lower temperature with a fraction of the suction, which is why carpet cleaned with them stays wet overnight and looks dingy again fast. We run a truck-mount on every job because it does a fundamentally better job. That's the whole story.

What's Included

What Our Carpet Cleaning Service Covers

1

Truck-mounted extraction, not a portable unit

We run off the truck — 220°F water, real vacuum pressure — leaving carpet dry in 2–4 hours instead of 12–24. The temperature and suction are what separate a real clean from a damp surface refresh.

2

Pre-treatment of traffic lanes before the machine runs

We spray a pre-conditioner on high-traffic areas, doorways, and problem spots and let it dwell 5–10 minutes. It breaks the bond between oil-based soil and the carpet fiber so the hot water can extract it — skipping this step is why traffic lanes often look grey again within weeks.

3

Individual stain spotting with matched chemistry

Coffee, wine, pet urine, and grease each need different spotting agents. We treat them individually before running the extractor. We'll tell you upfront if a stain is beyond recovery — old dye transfer, permanent ink, and years-old pet damage are sometimes past the point of no return, and you should know that before we start.

4

Pet urine enzyme treatment

We apply an enzyme product that breaks down the uric acid crystals in the carpet backing. If urine has soaked into the pad underneath, we'll say so — because cleaning the carpet won't fix odor that's living in the pad.

5

Furniture tabs after cleaning

Plastic tabs or foam blocks go under furniture legs on wet carpet to prevent stain transfer from wood or metal feet while the carpet dries. A small detail that prevents a real problem.

The Process

How Carpet Cleaning Works

Walkthrough first

We walk the rooms with you, note traffic lanes and individual stains, and tell you what's likely to come out and what might not. No surprises at the end of the job.

Pre-treatment

Pre-conditioner on traffic areas, spotting agents on individual stains. Dwell time is 5–10 minutes while we run the truck and set up the hose.

Hot-water extraction

We run the wand in overlapping passes — water in hot, soil extracted in the same stroke. Heavy areas get a second pass. The carpet looks noticeably different before we finish the room.

Tabs, grooming, dry time

Protective tabs under furniture legs, pile groomed in one direction. We tell you the dry time before we leave — typically 2–4 hours with a ceiling fan running.

Truck-mounted carpet steam cleaning in progress — hot-water extraction wand working through carpet fibers

Truck-mount extraction in process — 220°F water, full suction, every job.

Why Clean Freak

Why Choose Clean Freak for Carpet Cleaning?

On carpet cleaning, the equipment is the job. Truck-mounted extraction runs hotter and pulls harder than any portable unit — that's why dry time is 2–4 hours instead of overnight, and why the result lasts before the carpet looks dingy again. Beyond the equipment, we tell you what a stain is before we start. Old dye stains, bleach damage, and permanent pet damage often can't be reversed. We'd rather tell you that up front than take your money and deliver a disappointment.

Common Questions

Carpet Cleaning — Questions & Answers

How long until my carpet dries?
2–4 hours with a ceiling fan running and normal Texas temperatures. If it's a humid day or the room has no airflow, closer to 6. Portable machines leave carpet wet overnight — that's the main practical reason truck-mounted equipment matters.
Can you get pet urine smell out?
Usually yes, with enzyme treatment. The catch is whether the urine soaked into the padding under the carpet. If it did, cleaning the carpet alone won't fix the smell — the pad is where the odor lives. We check for heavy contamination during the walkthrough and tell you before we start whether pad replacement makes more sense than carpet cleaning alone.
What stains won't come out?
Dye transfer (red Kool-Aid, some pet foods), bleach spots, and permanent ink usually can't be reversed — those change the fiber's color rather than sitting on top of it. Old pet urine that's been there for years is also hit-or-miss. We identify problem stains during the walkthrough and give you a realistic read before we start.
Do I need to vacuum before you come?
Please do. Pre-vacuuming removes loose surface debris so the extractor can focus on what's embedded in the pile. We don't vacuum before cleaning as a standard step, but ask if you need it done.
How often should carpet get cleaned?
Once a year for most households. Every 6 months if you have dogs, cats, or young kids. Most carpet warranties also require cleaning every 12–18 months to stay in force — worth knowing if the carpet is relatively new.
